Privacy Policy for OxiTick

Introduction
OxiSoft (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information in relation to OxiTick, our privacy-first to-do and note-taking application (“the App”).
Information We Collect
None. We do not operate any cloud service, and the App contains no analytics, no tracking and no telemetry. We have no technical means to collect your data: OxiTick ships without any connection to our infrastructure.
How That Is Possible
- Your data is local. Your tasks and notes live in a database on your own device. That is what makes them private, and it is also why the App works with no network connection at all.
- Optional sync goes to your server, not ours. If you enable sync, the App connects only to a server that you or your organisation install and operate. Your account there is created by that server’s administrator, and your data goes only where you point the App.
- No middleman. There is no OxiSoft-operated backend between your devices and your server. Nothing passes through us.
How We Use Your Information
We do not have it, so we cannot use it. If you email us for support, we see whatever you choose to include in your message and nothing else.
Data Storage and Security
Local storage (all users)
- Your data is always stored locally on your device first
- The App works fully offline without an internet connection
- Local data uses your device’s built-in security features; sync credentials are kept in the platform keychain or keystore
Self-hosted sync (optional)
- Sync is completely optional: you choose whether to enable it and which server to use
- Data is encrypted in transit when your server is configured with SSL/TLS
- Data at rest lives on infrastructure you control, whether that is a VPS, a home server or on-premises hardware
- Server security, backups and access control are in your hands, by design
Offline-only use
Data never leaves your device.
Children’s Privacy
The App collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and contains no advertising or third-party content.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
